Sunday, Oct 19th I went to Food Festival with my female friend. There, we spotted the city mayor sat two tables away from us. He was in high demand, (I think he is, every day, as people that live in Bandung basically idolize him). My friend spontaneously said that maybe I can join him and engage in the conversation that he was having with some other visitor. I, being humble and unsure what to say, declined (obviously).
I like his work, as a mayor and an architect that he is. But I'm not sure I can engaged to same conversation. As I don't follow politic and my interest of architect, is big but not really understand it in architectural fashion.
I always like one long, interesting conversation that leaving me with new perspective and knowledge. That also reflects on (some of) what I watch. I watch some crappy tv programs, not gonna lie. But my favorites currently are Scandal (have been watching and following since first episode aired on tv), Sherlock and the newest one, How To Get Away With Murder. I also watched some episodes of Lie to Me (thanking my cousin for that). All four shows have one strong main character with big personality and incredibly bright. I always wish I have a bit of their ability in me every time I see it on tv or online, or wherever basically.
Despite the fact that I always want to have the knowledge and ability that they have, even just a bit, I also think that I may never will be. Especially be exactly like them. First, they are fictive. Even thought Olivia Pope character was inspired by Judy Smith, which is REAL.
But then I think, I just need to find what I'm good at and where my passions are. Trust me when I say I pretty sure I've found some. Cause to me, passion is one thing that will always revolve in you so it will develop itself. So having many passions aren't bad thing. It won't make you inconsistent.
So now that I may have figured some, I need to develop it and let it grow. Maybe also discover other passion. And focus to it all. Maybe one day I can be other version of all those fictive characters above in different situation.
