The other night, I and my two cousins were talking about oil therapy. One of them is yoga guru and suggesting me and her sister, to use this oil therapy. long story short, she think it may help us with the situation each of us dealing with. Agak berat yaaah boooook…
I also lost my voice since yesterday. In her opinion, it related to my problem. You see, in yoga, throat is the forth chakra and it indicate communication. and losing voice means that you feel you need to be heard. Something that probably is crucial and I need at the moment. Then she gave me this pep talk that I want to share with you. As a reminder for myself and something that you might also need to remember.
You need to keep your space.
Keep your space and hold it. It's important in relationship with anybody. Not being stubborn or selfish, but grounding for your own good. Istilahnya dalam bahasa Indonesia mungkin supaya engga dizamili. I mean like, there will be someone or one side that is dominant. By keeping your space, means you respect yourself to not so much into the other side that makes it feels bad (if you are the dominant one) or you respect yourself to know that you can hold up and still be you (for you who is submissive). You may find someone that is so consuming in life. Type of person that absorb your energy and somehow after interacting with them, you feel tired, exhausted, drain, and all. Holding up your space as well help you to see things clearly and able to save your energy. Probably you then understand that the situation is not healthy and you can safe yourself.
To do all this is not easy. Understanding your situation as the first step is not easy. But you need to know it. You can only safe yourself if you know that you need to be saved. Yes for that you need to be SELFISH, thinking about yourself for awhile and then make the step of what you want to do. not easy, but need to be done. After all, what matters the most, will never handed on platter.
In process of doing so, it probably gonna make you sound self-obsessed. But you have to remember, you mean no harm and you just being respectful to your space and others' too. "Set your intention and let it be," she kept saying that to me these past few days. You don't want to hurt anyone or disturb any side with your doing. At the end, you can tell them what you do and hoping for the best that they understand.
By respecting others' space, it will provide a better, calming environment. You just have to understand you need boundaries and not plunge into drama and drown in it.
At the end, my cousin gave me few drop if this oil essence. It's from Young Living and it is "RELEASE" oil. In the hope of me finally release everything, letting things go and find my center once again, I followed her instruction. "Set your tension. I pour few drops on your left hand. rub it with your right hand and rub it on your neck and soles." As I rub my hands I pray in my heart, "Let them know I never mean no harm, mean no disrespect or being a burden. It just me, being me, slowing things down to enjoy everything. To breath and sending gratitude to God and everybody with what I have. It just taking down a knot, stop stepping backward or shutting down. I hope they understand one day. And soon it will happen." Amen
I can tell you, I like the fragrant. IDK if it is the fragrant or the tension, I do feel calmer when I smell it. I did inhale deeply over and over again. From the web, youngliving.com, it says that release combines uplifting, calming oils that stimulate a sense of peace and emotional well-being, which in turn facilitate the ability to release anger and frustration. Repressed negative emotions lie at the root of many health concerns. Release promotes harmony and balance in the mind and body.
Additional info, my cousin has this yoga class using oil aroma therapy. It's ongoing and this week is the last. It begun in December 2013. Started with Release oil then Grounding oil and next will be Awaken oil. probably the intention is to awaken what's already inside us. the courage, creativity, etc. If you happen to be in JAKARTA and curious, you can join. details are below.
You can visit her blog yogawithchandrakj and her twitter @chandrakj for more info and updates. Well, according to her schedule, awaken oil will be on Sunday. Me gonna pray she'll also has it tomorrow. Fingers cross...
