Sumatra st, at Bandung is one interesting area in my eyes. Just after the train rail you'll find restaurants, cafes, and shops that inviting. even for passers-by. One of which is Origin House and Kitchen.
Carry "eat well live well" tagline, this place combine an organic shop, miscellaneous display shop, a bakery and a restaurant. If you look the front exterior, you might think it just one organic, boring shop. Well, prepare to surprise.

Walking inside the building, you'll find shop that sell organic product from various brands that you most likely won't find in common supermarket in Bandung. From rice to baby food, they have them all. Walk pass the shop and you'll see somewhat like oases down the aisle. But the aisle itself display many miscellaneous items such as VW Kombi piggy bank, Statue of Liberty speaker. And I was like took my time to check them out and thought this is interesting and cute. Mostly they are IKEA. But my purpose of coming was the restaurant.
Let me tell you, it was gorgeous. The walls covered with plants and the restaurant has a relax and laid back feel to it. With glass and wooden roof, and the fact this is located downtown Bandung, I cannot helped to think I felt like I was in NYC or something, having lunch on a rooftop, green restaurant.
Say no more, just look at the photos below.
Had lunch and breakfast at this place. They have vary of food, from Indonesian to, mostly, Western. Serving food with no additive and organic, IMO, they do a pretty good job. Not too pricey and delicious. Most Indonesian may find the flavour is mild, not as strong as many Indonesian like. Nevertheless, mild but enough in term of flavour.
So lunch time, I had grilled salmon steak. Pan-fried salmon with veggies, mashed potato and basil cream sauce. And I liked it. Delicious. The salmon well seasoned, moist, juicy and tender. No lump on the potato. Although at first I thought they grilled the salmon. Especially seeing some pattern that looked like gridiron. Apparently they didn't and chose to put pan-seared on the menu.
I don't remember the name of this juice. But it similar to what they have at Dusun Bambu, geulis nyari. No wonder since they belong to the same owner/KG, or commonly in Indonesia known as CV. It combines carrots, lime, orange, pineapple, and strawberry.
Later I'll post what I have at breakfast time.
